Product review | NARS “Torrid” blush swatches and face of the day.

OK, so I know it’s still the dead of winter – but that doesn’t mean that I can’t start preparing for spring, right? Late last week I did a Sephora run and picked up a few colors to add into my spring rotation…today we’re going to be talking about “Torrid” from NARS – the first of those colors! This bright coral blush has the slightest hint of gold sparkle, and really works to perk up yellow-based skin tones – don’t take my word for it though, let’s check it out!

NARS “Torrid” Blush

  • Micronized powder ensures a soft, easily blended application (with little chance of oxidization).
  • Boasts a silky texture that almost “floats” above the skin – giving it a fresh appearance.
  • Densely pigmented – a little truly goes a long way (especially with a color like this…)!
  • Bright coral with the slightest bit of golden shimmer really helps to perk up warm skin tones.

Final verdict – 5/5!

Let’s just start off by saying that this blush is perfect for a warm-skinned individual! This fresh coral can go from mild to wild with just a few swipes from your brush – not to mention the fact that this blush is easily diffused into the skin – always mimicking a natural flush! If you carry more yellow tones in your skin, I’d definitely recommend adding this blush to your collection – you won’t regret it!

  1. I can’t believe I’ve bypassed this in Sephora before! This is so pretty! Does it have a ton of glitter like Orgasm though? Torrid looks great on you by the way! :]

  2. Torrid looks great! How does the color compare to Orgasm? Orgasm is my holy grail blush… Then I went crazy and bought the Super Orgasm Illuminator! Maybe Torrid would help me dial down the glitter factor, when I must. ^_^

    • Orgasm is right in the middle (kinda cool – kinda warm) – while “Torrid” is a true coral meant for warmer skin tones! I think that “Torrid” is great for everyday/fashion use as well – whereas “Orgasm” suits everybody – but only manages to ever be a “staple” color.

  3. Oh I love this! I’d probably swipe on too much and look like a crazy blush fool, but practice makes perfect right? It looks fab on you though and I love your necklace!

    • Ahaha – thanks! I thought the same thing – but if you put too much on it’s really easy to blend out (thankfully). I always feel like a blush crazy clown though – so it doesn’t make a huge difference…

    • Ahaha, you’re too friggin’ cute! Torrid is actually so awesome if you prefer something livelier – but I’ve been sick and rockin’ purple blush for the past week…so when I’m better (and all spring/summer) I expect to hit pan, ahaha!
